Born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1931, Frederick McDuff’s interest in painting led him to New York City in the 1950’s. He studied briefly at the Art Students League but found his greatest inspiration in museum masters as Corot and Pissarro. In the early 1960’s he left New York for Washington, D.C.
